I'll follow the example of The Real Kevin and write about working on "Ghost Rider." ItâÂÂs a real tear-jerker, so get your Kleenex out before you watch. It is filmed in 1982, which is a reasonable date for a classic. (Perhaps a la âÂÂEmmerdale Farmâ for you, Brits?). This is a harrowing film, with the theme music creating a haunting air. Although congratulated as a hero, he is heartbroken that TracyâÂÂs soul, his companion, was finally put to rest on Bus #77. Bus #77 crashes to the bottom of the canyon, with the band memberâÂÂs forgotten clarinet. With the help of Tracy, Kevin helps the pupils out of the bus and saves his bus driver.

He tells her why he needs to read the pamphlet, but before she can continue replying to him, the bus driver becomes unconscious and the bus hangs over a cliff. He sees Tracy on Bus #77, now packed with kids. He caves into reading the pamphlet, after TracyâÂÂs supernatural whereabouts interrupted his workout that night. She hands him a pamphlet about bus evacuation, which can save his live and those of Bus #77. She is really telling him that she didnâÂÂt evacuate her bus on time, which causes her demise. On the second day of school, Kevin sees Tracy again, thinking that she is badgering him. Therefore, the Baileysâ home is a haunted house, and Tracy Donnelly is a ghost. She perished at the accident scene last year and her family moved from their residence where the Baileys now reside. On his way home, the pencil read TRACY DONNELLY, and finds out that she is a victim of a school bus accident, according to his mother. He asks if the bus driver saw her, but he tells him that heâÂÂs hallucinating. After picking up a pencil she dropped, he notices that she is gone.

I also felt that the movie was pretty well-acted overall, and the entire flick maintained an aura of fun throughout (which I believe was the main purpose of the whole thing) while flowing smoothly through a simple plot.(spoilers) Kevin Bailey, a melancholy middle school newcomer, sees a curly-haired girl in white slacks on Bus #77. I also enjoyed the battle scenes including one involving ghost rider and a helicopter (I won’t tell you what happens there, but it is pretty amusing). The scenes where Cage turned into ghost rider for the first time were fairly intense, and I found myself marveling at the coolness of his transformation and powers. It had its flaws and there were times when I found myself snickering at the silliness of it all, but that to me is good entertainment. These bad reviews make me wonder just how serious you have to be (or just how snobby a critic) going into the theater to hate this type of movie making.įar be it from me to say that this movie was perfect. Well, I hate to burst everybody’s bubble, but that is really not the purpose of this type of movie. I have read a lot of the bad hype that the flick has received, and I believe that this is partly due to the fact that people go into these types of movies expecting amazing advances in cinematography as well as a gripping and dramatic plot.
