(For Grades 3-6) In this noisy and rambunctious game, children will learn the books of the Bible and where to find them. Players are also challenged to write their own clues. Locate 17 books of the Bible by reading clues, then filling in the blanks. Another great game idea contributed by Deb High. (The teacher is the judge - and makes the decision of what is allowed for a point.) Do as many categories that you have time for and the one with the most points wins. Players get one point for each item that remains on the list. If two or more players have the same item, they must cross it off. After one minute, the kids take turns reading their list.
Give the players one minute to list as many items as they can think of dealing with that category. Example: Books of the Bible, Kings of the Bible, Women or Men of the Bible, Psalm 23 (or any chapter that the kids have studied), Beatitudes, Spiritual Gifts, Books beginning with a certain letter of the alphabet, etc. First player to get all the pictures in a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal row wins! ~Sent in by Angie Reveles. Teaches children to be content with their circumstances. She said she 'adapted the game' but in reality, she developed a whole new game.
